Storerotica Awards Debut at Show
New hall of fame gets first inductees at event's end

LAS VEGAS - After a bustling day of show-floor schmoozing and a slew of educational seminars (see Mark Kerne's article "Storerotica Seminars Address Intellectual Property, Theft ... and the War on Sex" for full coverage), Storerotica kicked into high gear as the crème de la crème of novelty and lingerie distributors, manufacturers and retailers repaired to the prestigious Sapphire Gentlemen's Club for the very first Storerotica Awards. Presented by Teeze and Adult Store Buyer magazines, the inaugural event was sponsored by Vivid Video and Club Jenna, and hosted by Gina Lynn and Tera Wray. When I'm telling my grandchildren about how I met their grandmother, the Snake Lady, I'm going to point them to this entry. We began January Internext's party season with a couple of Jack n' Cokes at the Gay Webmaster Kick Off Bash (it was a total sausage party...but I guess that was the point.); then fellow associate editor Frank Majors and I took off for the Girls of the Internet Party at Sapphire's Gentleman's club.
